Eric Samuels
A scientist with Health Canada, was Vice-President of the OVCC for a number of years, during which Bel Air’s very successful dances were often used to help maintain the league.
Donald White
Our first fast bowler, was treasurer for most of the life of the club. He still lives in Ottawa.
Ewart Walters
Vice-President and President of the OVCC between 1982 and 1984. He was an outstanding opening bat and part time leg-spinner, he also captained the Bel Air “B” and was president of the Club for number of years.
Fred Blades
Fred Blades (Barbados) was a left-arm opening bowler and club captain. A friendly trophy in his honour is contested twice annually between the Bel Air Cricket Club and Cambridge Sports Club who are based in New York City.
Noel Foster
Noel Foster (Jamaica) was a right-arm pace bowler who moved the ball both ways. He was also a solid lower order batsman.
Dennis Waithe
Dennis Waithe (Guyana) was a right-arm opening bowler who captained the team and was president of the club.
Eddie Walter
Eddie Walter (Jamaica) was one of our most successful off-spin bowlers.
Cornelius Henry
Cornelius Henry (St. Lucia) was a member of the Canadian Cricket team in 1979. A strong batsman and fast bowler.
Patrick Waterman
Patrick Waterman (Guyana) was a successful leg-spinner.
Tyrone Collins
Tyrone Collins (Guyana) was a good batsman and bowler.
Horace Boswell
Horace Boswell (Jamaica) was the team’s best wicket-keeper after Dr. Lawson Douglas. A left-handed batsman he was also a prolific scorer.
Wally Bayne
Wally Bayne (Barbados) was a good wicket-keeper and batsman.
Lesroy George
Lesroy George (Antigua) was a main off-spinner.
Neville Grant
Neville Grant (Barbados) Bel-Air’s best batsman ever still lives in Ottawa.
Tony Russell
Tony Russell (Jamaica) was also one of the club’s best all-rounders, leading the team in batting and bowling.
